Lenses
Data is submitted monthly by members to Industry Insights, keeping individual member's market share confidential from association staff and other members alike. Industry Insights tabulates the data and releases monthly reports that summarize market totals for The Vision Council member companies that participate in the program.
The Lens Shipments Reports provide participating members combined figures on product shipments by:
- Lens material
- Style
- Photochromic ability
- Origin (domestic or foreign)
- Destination (domestic or international).
Moreover, Industry Insights has several mechanisms in place that make it impossible for any participant to "back into" another company's data and determine the sales activity for other participants. There is no confidentiality risk whatsoever in participating in The Vision Council lens shipments program.
