The Vision Council recognizes that consensus building is necessary to improve the optical marketplace. We take the time to develop strong relationships with associations within the optical community, including those representing eye care professionals, manufacturers, vision care plans and consumers.

Total Ophthalmic Community (TOC) Meeting
The TOC meeting provides an opportunity for leading ophthalmic organizations to discuss common goals and challenges facing the vision community. The 2010 TOC Leadership Luncheon will be held in Chicago on July 20th in conjunction with the Foundation for Eye Health Awareness' Eye Health Summit.
The Vision Summit
An event hosted by The Vision Council's medical advisory board, the Better Vision Institute, the Vision Summit is designed to raise awareness about a specific vision issue, for example low vision or children's vision. Leading experts from the federal, state and local policy levels join together at the Summit to review the latest research, as well as the effectiveness of and best practices for different policy models. Optical Industry Forum
The scope of the Optical Industry Forum encompasses the review and discussion of issues of interest or concern anywhere in the optical industry. This forum is a place where communication of issues is encouraged and actions are identified for The Vision Council or other interested parties. The forum is open to everyone in the industry, not just members of The Vision Council.
